DAY 1

Cusco City Tour

On this day, a professional guide will accompany you to discover the best of this Inca city. You will visit the Temple of the Sun (also called Qoricancha), the treasures of the Basilica Cathedral of Cusco, and the ruins adjacent to the city, including Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. Spend the evening at your leisure, enjoying the local cuisine, music, and the lights of Cusco at night. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 2

Cusco - Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

The Sacred Valley lies at 2800 meters above sea level (9,190 feet). Aguas Calientes lies at 2040 meters above sea level (6,690 feet). Travel time between Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes: 1 hour 40 min by train. The adventure continues with a visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you will explore Pisac, an important archaeological site whose shape and construction are inspired by a local bird, the Puna partridge. Afterward, you will visit the local market, famous for its original products. In the afternoon, you will head to Ollantaytambo, a city designed by the Incas with narrow streets and lovely canals, all in harmony with its natural environment. You will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, with its spectacular Incan terraces and breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley. At the end of the afternoon, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 3

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is located at 2400 meters above sea level (7,900 feet). This day will be the highlight of your trip, as you will visit one of the Wonders of the World that all travelers dream of seeing: the historical sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Early in the morning, a professional guide will pick you up from your hotel to board the bus to the Machu Picchu citadel. Once there, you will explore the farming and urban zones, as well as the main temples. The tour will take about an hour and a half, after which you will have free time to explore the ancient city and take additional photographs. In the afternoon, you will return to Cusco on a comfortable train. Overnight in Cusco.
