Trip Itinerary
Colca Canyon, Mirador de los Volcanes, Chivay
The day starts at 07:30 – 08:30 am when we pick you up from your hotel/hostal in the direction of the Colca Canyon on the road via Yura in our private transport, we will travel the Chachani volcano to then reach the pampas Cañahuas, place where we will visit the NATIONAL RESERVE SALINAS AND AGUADA BLANCA and stop for a time of 10 to 15 minutes to see the vicuñas, alpacas and llamas living peacefully in their natural ecosystem, then we will have a second stop to enjoy the traditional coca tea to combat altitude sickness and we will find ourselves at an altitude of 3800 m.s.n.m. We will continue our ascent until an altitude of 4800 m.a.s.l. (viewpoint of the volcanoes). Where we will enjoy an impressive view we will begin the descent until the town of Chivay.
At approximately 01:00 pm we will arrive at the town of Chivay and then go to the RESTAURANT BUFFET where we will enjoy a variety of traditional and local dishes. After the delicious lunch we will stay in our respective Hotel.
At 03:00 p.m. approximately. Our guide will take you to the Calera Thermal Baths, where you will enjoy the thermal pools with temperatures ranging from 35°C to 38°C. After the agreed time we return to the Hotel.
In the evening we will enjoy a folkloric show at the same time that you will taste the Traditional Typical Dinner. After the Show we will take you to your Hotel and thus ends our itinerary of the day. We’ll spend the night in Chivay
La Cruz del Condor Viewpoint, Chivay Town
At 05:30 am after breakfast we will make our trip to one of the deepest canyons in the world THE COLCA CANYON where we will reach the CROSS VIEWER OF THE CONDOR privileged place where you can observe the FLIGHT OF THE CONDOR, if we are lucky and we can take unique photos with the most imposing bird of the Andes allowing you to live one of the best experiences of your life.
When we return we will stop in the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque that have beautiful colonial Temples; as well as in the viewpoints of: Antahuilque and Choquetico from where we will be able to observe the tombs and pre-Inca models and the beautiful landscape of the Colca Valley with its impressive andenería.
12:00 p.m. We will make our arrival to the town of Chivay and after lunch we will return to the city of Arequipa.
At 5:00 p.m. We will reach the city of Arequipa. And so we put an end to our Colca Valley adventure, only with Rainbow Peru Travel.
