Trip Itinerary
Full Day Tour
This Extended Sacred Valley Tour begins at 7:30 a.m. in order to avoid groups of tourists at the attractions visited. That’s why we do the Sacred Valley tour unlike many other bus tour groups, and the other big reason is that we want you to enjoy the attractions with very few people and learn much more about the places visited.
First, we will visit the Andean town of Chinchero, famous for its expert weavers and spectacular Inca sites. Our guide will take you to the weaver’s textile centre and give you a demonstration of dyeing and weaving techniques as well as the typical market.
After this visit, our private vehicle takes us on a panoramic trip to Moray. This site is composed of four circular depressions in the soil, which are believed to have been used by the Incas as an agricultural experiment station.
Afterwards, we will head towards the Maras salt flats. This salt mine displays a wide variety of pots of different sizes and shapes. Built on the slope of a hill with salt water from a nearby spring, and overlooking the green Urubamba valley.
After visiting Maras, we will descend to the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas, before heading to Ollantaytambo, we will have a delicious lunch (not included). Ollantaytambo is a living proof of a typical Inca village and shows how the ancient Peruvians lived, which has an impressive set of terraces.
The Extended Tour of the Sacred Valley will come to an end with a delivery to your hotel in Cusco or to restaurants in the city center.
