Absolutely not! With tailor-made tours, you have the option to create a completely customized itinerary with the help of our expert consultants, or you can choose one of our over 1,000 existing itineraries and modify it to suit your specific needs. This could include upgrading hotels, adjusting the pace of your trip, or focusing on specific interests like food or physical activity.

Is a Tailor-Made Tour more cost-effective?

This will depend on various factors such as the destination, accommodation standards, number of included activities, itinerary, and the size of your group. Typically, if you are traveling with a private group of 6 or more people, the cost will be similar to our public group trips.

How long will it take to get a pricing proposal?

Our consultants will provide you with an estimated time frame once we have received the details of your desired Tailor-Made Experience.

What is included in the pricing proposal?

The contents of your pricing proposal will depend on your requests, but generally it will include a custom itinerary from one of our experts, featuring a local leader, transportation, accommodation, some meals, and various activities and excursions.

What is not included in the pricing proposal?

The pricing proposal for Tailor-Made Experiences does not cover the cost of international flights. We can provide separate pricing for airfares.

What is the minimum group size for a Tailor-Made tour?

We can arrange a Tailor-Made experience for groups of four or more. For larger groups, prices will be comparable to our public small group adventures. Tailor-Made tours are also available for our Adventure Cruising and Polar experiences, but the minimum group size will vary. Please contact one of our Tailor-Made specialists for more information.

Can you include free spaces for group organizers, hosts, etc.?

Yes, we can include the cost of a free spot in your pricing proposal. The cost of this spot will be divided among the paying passengers. Please let us know when requesting a pricing proposal if you require any free spots for your trip.

Can you arrange a trip for LGBTQI travelers?

Everyone should feel comfortable during their travels, and we understand that many of our travelers are part of the LGBTQI community. With Tailor-Made, you will receive support throughout your entire trip, from the specialist who assists you in creating your itinerary, to the local leaders and guides, and the on-ground operations team.

The process of creating your Tailor-Made tour

Receive your pricing proposal

As soon as we receive costs from our local team, we will send through a detailed day-by-day itinerary with costing for your group size. From here you can request changes or move forward with paying a deposit to request your tour services.

Lock it in

Once you are happy with the itinerary and ready to go ahead, we’ll need to collect deposits per person along with the full names of the group. Once we have everyone’s deposits on file, our local teams will begin confirming the elements of your trip. This can take 5-7 business days.

Receive Your Pricing Proposal

As soon as we receive the cost estimates from our local team, we will send you a comprehensive day-by-day itinerary with pricing for your group size. From this point, you can make changes or proceed with paying a deposit to book your tour services.

Finalize the Trip

When you are satisfied with the itinerary, we will collect a deposit from each member of the group along with their full names. Once we have received all of the deposits, our local teams will start finalizing the trip arrangements. This process may take 5-7 business days.
